Hi Anup,
thanks for the plugin. I appreciate it beacuse it´s a great help.
One small question though: Would it be possible to make the widget title dynamic too? I would love to see the current category name in the title as well. Ideally it would say “latest posts in (category name)” and maybe on the homepage “latest posts in (website name)”.
I´m a total php idiot, sorry :-/
thanks
Miguel

Dear Anup.
Your plugin is very convenient. Thanks for your good work.
However, I have a problem with it.
One of my blogs uses “qTranslate”, a bilingual plugin.
qianqin.de/qtranslate/In this case, your plugin shows post titles like “English titleJapanese title…”
A standard widget of WordPress “Recent Entries” can show each title in current laguage.
How can I show post titles just in current language with your “Current Category Widget”?

Hi Anup. This is Malik from India. Thanks for this plugin, i really appreciate.
I have a little request, could you please take a look at it.
I have a category say ABC and there are few posts under this category listing all the TOOLS of this category. When i write a post for a review post of a TOOL in ABC category i give it a tag called ABC TOOL.
Now with your plugin i want to display ABC TOOL for each and every post of ABC Category.
In same for each and every page of Category DEF i want to display tools with tag DEF TOOLS and i want to do it with only 1 sidebar.
Please help. I will really appreciate.
Thanks

Hey Posts of Current Category doesnt work properly when Tabbed sidebar plugin is above it in sidebar. It displays a post from a category different from the current. When I put your plugin above Tabbed sidebar this is resolved. But I want it underneath so if you could resolve this somehow. Thanks

Hi,
First of all, thanks for the plugin. It’s work well and exactly what I’m looking for.
I just want to make one suggestion:
If you could add “secondary title” field to the plugin beside the “primary” title already available. The primary title will be displayed in Home or Page, the secondary title will be displayed in category or post of category.
For example, I would like to display “Recent Posts” when visitor access Home; and display “Recent Posts in %” when access Post or Category. (where % is the name of category).
Thank you,
Zaenal

Hi there,
Sorry to bother you but the plugin update from the end of March does not work on padshock.com – it was working with the previous version. Now, there are just blanks.
Any suggestions?

Where can I download the version prior to the most recent one? The new version does not work on my site.
Thanks

I’m confused – this plugin only shows anything when viewing a category page, not a post page! That can’t be right, what’s the point in displaying a list of posts in a sidebar which is a replica of the list in the main body of the page?! How can I modify this plugin to do this: when I’m looking at a post in categoryA, show in the sidebar all other posts in categoryA, but when I’m looking at a post in categoryB, show me all other posts in categoryB instead?

@traveller
The name of the plugin is “Posts of Current Category” and PAGES in wordpress are not categorized. Hence my intension was just to remove this widget if any visitor jumps on PAGES.
However, the plugin does work as you have suggested.
I’ll be updating this again and shall add an option for this.

Hi,
The link you gave me for the version prior to the most recent version, still did not solve the problem. What do you mean “the version similar to 0.3″ do you not have the previous version on file?
Apr 26, 2010 @ 18:11:28
Sorry Tim,
I don’t have one.
I was on journey when I actually lost my files & hardwares.
:-(
Please wait for newer version ;-)

Hi,
I love your category widget. I have noticed that after clicking on a post that is listed in your category widget I goto the correct post but your widget disappears from the side bar.
Maybe you could check it out.
-click a category(under categories)
-see your widget listed on the right
-click on a post listed in your widget
-see how your widget disappears once you get to new post
-click on a category(under categories) and your widget reappears.
Another thing I noticed was when I click on an post listing on my Index Page Your widget does not appear once I go to the correct post.
I am not complaining. I think your plugin is great. Just thought I would let you know the few things I noticed. I am still trying to figure out how to get the plugin that creates my list on the index page to list alphabetically. LOL:)
Thanks a lot for your plug in and I hope this helps. If you edit those things it would be great to have a heads up.
